Those Norwegian Beatles podcasts, noted as the first time the Fab Four’s music has been available as a legal download, have been taken down after the podcasts broke some obscure Norwegian broadcasting law. The NRK, or the Norway Broadcasting Co., said, “The podcast is not available at the moment. Please check back for updates.” Only the podcasts for the Beatles Please Please Me and With The Beatles were posted before the hammer of international law dropped. According to the NRK, Norwegian radio law states that “NRK can not podcast programs with foreign music if the radio program was broadcast more than four weeks ago.” Since the original broadcasts of “Our Daily Beatles” was in 2007, this turned out to be an issue.
So why doesn’t the NRK just, you know, rebroadcast the series so they can post the podcasts? “This is a question people have asked several times […]

A trio of rare Notorious B.I.G. songs earmarked for the upcoming Notorious soundtrack hit the Internet yesterday. Two of the tracks, “Microphone Murderer” and “Guaranteed Raw,” are products of the rare demo tape that was given to Bad Boy Records and ultimately got Biggie a record contract. “Murderer” especially showcases the imagery and flow that would land B.I.G. on practically every greatest-rapper list despite the fact that he only released two non-posthumous albums. Also on the soundtrack is a new “Legacy RMX” of the Ready To Die hit “One More Chance,” featuring Biggie’s son Christopher “CJ” Wallace Jr. rapping in unison with his father over the verses penned back in 1995, before CJ was even born. Notorious is due in theaters January 16th.
Rock Daily recently spoke at length with actor Jamal “Gravy” Woolard about his role as Biggie in the biopic Notorious. “I just wanted to read Ms. Wallace’s face,” Woolard […]
